It would make a certain amount of sense if Christians* shunned New Year resolutions in favor of resolving to make themselves better at Easter. Easter, after all, is the rebirth of Jesus. It wouldn’t take much of a metaphorical leap to reset your life and try to make it better at the same time. Easter is also a base hijacking of a generic spring festival as it’s time for the northern hemisphere to shake the shackles of winter off and prepare to replant and grow anew. After doing some soul searching I’m doubling down on my resolutions this year on Easter’s Eve in an effort to renew myself and make me a better person.
